Lessons-Part 1:  None

Classwork:    "Moving Straight Ahead" Problem #1.1 (p.6).  We used the timed measurements of student walking rates (in meters per second) that we took yesterday.

  • Period 1 was rather crazy, since today was "group picture" day.... many students missed most of class.... students should still complete problem #1.1 in order to be ready for class on Friday.

Turned-in:   nothing

Homework:    Complete "Moving Straight Ahead" Problem #1.1 (p.6)  -ALL PARTS A & B

Notes:   During this new unit we will be doing quite a bit of graphing.  I suggest that students purchase a supply of graph-paper (the kind that has light blue, green, or peach colored lines for the grid) for use in their assignments in class and homework. With this I have seen that students will do a much better job in their graphing, will accomplish it more easily, and the graphs will not only look better, but will also be more useful as a learning tool.
