Lessons-Part 1:  Talk to your table partners and discuss and compare your answers to "Moving Straight Ahead" - Problem #2.3 (pg.27-29)

Classwork:  Discussed answers to "Moving Straight Ahead" - Problem #2.3 (pg.27-29) - (Periods 1 & 3 had a little time and began discussing problem #2.4, periods 6 & 7 did not)

Turned-in:   nothing

Homework:   "Moving Straight Ahead" - A.C.E. problems pg.34: #5-8; + study for QUIZ Thursday.

During this unit we will be doing quite a bit of graphing.  I suggest that students purchase a supply of graph-paper (the kind that has light blue, green, or peach colored lines for the grid) for use in their assignments in class and homework. Students might also want to have a small set of colored pencils with them to help with graphing. With these tools I have seen that students will do a much better job in their graphing, will accomplish it more easily, and the graphs will not only look better, but will also be more useful as a learning tool.

Quiz Re-Take policy: Any students who received a score of less than 75% can re-take that quiz. Re-take quizzes are somewhat shorter than the original.Students need to re-do any incorrect items from their quiz on a separate piece of paper, and show that to Mr. Usem (along with the original quiz) in order to be able to take the re-take.  Quiz re-takes are to be taken outside of class time, as arranged with Mr. Usem [Possible times are before/after school, during recess, during BEST (with permission of BEST teacher)
