Warm-up:  See below

Classwork:    Math class was a little crazy today.  Many students were out-of-class and finshing up the Math MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Test during our math-class period. Students who were in class worked on developing the VOLUME formula for prisms, and relating that to volume of cylinders [ V = B x h  ...where "B" is the "area of the Base"].  During class we found the volumes of 2 different cylinders (see below)... students who were finishing up the test today for part or all of the class period should make sure that they have completed today's "warmup" and the "volume of the cylinders" assignment shown below.

Turned-in:    nothing

Homework:   None.

Notes:

  • We talked today about the labels for the separate sections for students' math binders.  The sections should be:
    1. Warm-ups
    2. Notes
    3. Vocabulary
    4. Classwork & Homework
    5. ...left blank (to be announced later)
  • Students should take time over the weekend to make sure that they have their math binders organized and up to date, including dividers, for Monday.
