Classwork:  Today we worked on a variety of worksheets that concentrated on understanding and using the "long-division" algorithm. Specific worksheets for students depended on students' proficiency level with this algorithm. Possible worksheets on which students are currently working are:

  • Skill 25 (Prentice-Hall)    [students should do the even problems on front side, and ALL word-problems on the back side.]
  • Skill 26 (PH)    [students should do the even problems on front side, and ALL word-problems on the back side.]
  • Skill 27 (PH)    [students should do the even problems on front side, and ALL word-problems on the back side.]
  • Skill 30 (PH)    [students should do the even problems on front side, and ALL word-problems on the back side.]
  • Skill 31 (PH)    [students should do the even problems on front side, and ALL word-problems on the back side.]
  • Elements of Math  (Brain Boost pg 54)   [-ALL]
  • Box it   (Brain Boost pg 55)   [-ALL]
  • Division Venn  (Brain Boost pg 56)   [-ALL]

Turned-in:   Each worksheet, as they finished them.

Homework:  Complete the worksheet on which they were last working during class today, by next Monday (Nov 5).

Notes:  If students want, or need, extra practice they can also work on the  "odd" numbered problems on the PH worksheets.
