"I'm part of some big circle that I don't understand. And so are you. Life, death, good and bad, everything is part of that circle. When I hurt you I hurt myself too." Cole Matthews

This week we finish the book, Touching Spirit Bear, and study for our final. The final is planned for Thursday, March 12; study guide packets are due that day.

Reading journals for this week are due on Monday, March 16.

Reading homework journal:  blank forms are available here.

Greetings!
We continue to zoom through probability.  This week we will take the benchmark assessment on Thursday.  Even though this was a SHORT unit students will still get two days with the test.  Thursday they will start the test and then finish on Friday in the first 10 minutes of class. Students will then record their multiple choice answers in classroom for success; as required by the district.

Our next unit of study is algebra.  We will be graphing lines, writing equations, solving equations, analyzing graphs and looking for patterns in tables.

Homework:

Homework Assignments: Students will have math homework assignment every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The assignment is due the next day.  Students are expected to write the assignment in their planner at the beginning of every class period.  Please check planners!  Homework is designed to help students practice skills taught in the classroom.  We take notes in class and have practice problems written down in the students' notebooks, so they have a reference/help resource when completing the homework each night.  The time it takes students to finish the assignments will vary based on the students ability, but NO ONE should spend more than 30 minutes completing an assignment.

Please contact me if you have any questions.
