BROWN PAPER BAGS NEEDED:   If you have any beads or extra brown paper bags hanging around your house or are willing to donate some new beads for a class project,  MN Studies classes would be thankful!  We will be making parfleche as part of our Dakota unit.  Please send in to Ms. Wucherpfennig!  Thank you!

Language Arts

We finish our Walk Two Moons this week.

Monday:  Socratic Seminar
Tuesday: Finish reading the novel.
Wednesday:  Study Guide
Thursday: Theme Poster
Friday:  Comprehension Quiz and Theme Presentation

Reading homework journals start this week.  It is due on Monday, November 9.  The study guide (packet) is due on Friday (Nov. 6) at the end of class.

To download a reading log, click here.

This week we start our work on seventh grade standards by working with circles.  There will be a quiz this Friday on area and circumference of circles.  We will explore the relationship between radius, diameter, area and circumference.  Students will find it helpful to use a calculator at home when working on homework this week.

Next week will be work on surface area of 3-D shapes.

Homework Assignments: Students will have math homework assignment every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The assignment is due the next day.  Students are expected to write the assignment in their planner at the beginning of every class period.  Please check planners!  Homework is designed to help students practice skills taught in the classroom.  We take notes in class and have practice problems written down in the students' notebooks, so they have a reference/help resource when completing the homework each night.  The time it takes students to finish the assignments will vary based on the students ability, but NO ONE should spend more than 30 minutes completing an assignment.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Ms. Wilson
