7th GRADE NEWSLETTER
April 10, 2017
Quarter
4th quarter begins this week... A "fresh start" and a great time to sit down with your 7th-grader and discuss how they can end this year in a very positive way.   How can they make changes in how they "do" school, in order to either maintain a great average, or to change and improve a poor average. Encourage them to talk with their teachers about their progress, and any necessary adjustments to study habits and skills.

     Math
4/10/17
This week we are now moving on in our CMP Text "Moving Straight Ahead" to exploring solving equations,  eventually introducing the "balancing method" for solving equations. Attention to detail will be very important for being successful with this method.

This week, and next, we will also be doing some REVIEW for the upcoming MCA Math Test, which all 7th-graders will take the week of April 24. If some assignments may seem "out of sync" with our current topic, it will probably be due to this review.
