Today we started our study for Quarter 2, and our theme is Justice and Mercy. We will begin by reading three Dystopian stories and follow that with an excerpt from Les Miserable. I will keep you posted on how the rest shakes out.

    Math - Mr. West

Hello everybody! Last Friday we retested on Order of Operations. Quite a few students raised their test grade, and consequently their quarter grade, just by improving their understanding of the Order of Operations. Well done!

This week we are working on how to recognize a proportional situation and how to set up and solve a proportion. That's the great thing about math. The fun never ends!

    Social Studies -- Ms. Odermatt

We are finishing up the last week of the quarter with our unit 2 test on Tuesday. Later we will take a look at the electoral college and get an understanding of how it works before the big election! All missing work needs to be in by Thursday, November 1st.

    Science - Mr. Boler

Quarter 1 TEST is set for Wednesday 10/31. On Monday we will play a review game to make sure all students have the correct answers for the study guide. Students will have some time in the computer lab on Tuesday to continue to prepare for the test.

In addition to the study guide, students should: a) study their notes and past assignments b) know the vocabulary c) review content on the 7th grade science website.

To increase content understanding visit the 7th grade science web site at the URL listed below. In addition to links to FOSS and Discovery Education, weekly powerpoint reviews are uploaded to this website.
