Asbestos Notice
Minneapolis Public Schools continues its efforts to monitor asbestos in District buildings and respond in a cautious and pro-active manner. The Environmental Health & Safety Division performs periodic surveillance and inspections of all asbestos-containing materials to ensure that the materials are maintained in a good condition. Whenever asbestos materials are disturbed or response actions are required, appropriate precautions, as defined in federal and state regulations, are followed. Our efforts are designed to provide a safe and healthy environment for all students and building occupants.

Asbestos management plans are available for review in the main office of schools that have asbestos -containing materials.
