Our Mission:
The primary mission of Field Community School is to ensure that all students learn.  To this end, we are committed to providing opportunities for all of our students to reach their highest academic, social, emotional, physical, and creative potential.

Field Facts

  • Hale-Field is one school on two campuses with grades K-4 at Hale and 5-8 at Field.
  • Highly motivated staff experienced in working with diverse students to challenge each child's individual needs.
  • Networked Mac computer labs and wireless capability throughout the building.
  • Technology integrated into the curriculum via digital visualizers and multi-media projectors and screens in the classroom.
  • Participation in annual Spelling Bee, National Geographic Bee, History Day, Math Master and Math Counts Competition, Science Bowl Competition.
  • Award-winning choir; band and orchestra; partnership with Minnesota Orchestra. More than half the student body participates in an instrumental or choral group.
  • Girls in Engineering, Mathematics and Science (GEMS) is offered to girls in grades 5-8.
  • Guys in Science and Engineering (GISE) is offered to 5th-8th grade boys.
  • Students at all grade levels participate in various community service projects.
  • Field has strong PTA, community, and volunteer support, with volunteers donating over 3,000 hours of service yearly.
  • After-school tutorial services in math and reading.
