 FROM THE CO CHAIR

Welcome back returning families and a special welcome to all the new Field families. There is a buzz in the air, and everyone is giddy for the beginning of the school year (well, at least the parents are)! I had a fun summer with my family and friends as I hope you all did as well.

Let me tell you about myself: I am Jennifer (Jen) Buss - this year's PTA Co-Chair along with Leah Kondes. I am an experienced member of the PTA; I was a co-chair at Hale for two years and was the membership chair at Field before stepping up to the co-chair position last year. I have also been chair to committee events and many PTA events at both Hale and Field. I have two sons: Ethan who is starting 9th grade at Washburn and Hayden in 6th grade at our wonderful Field. I am a full-time working parent, who loves to volunteer in our school and around our community. My other hobbies are shopping, baking, and golfing (when I get time). I cannot wait to dive into all the fun events this year.

Field is such a great school.  We are all so lucky to have caring teachers and wonderful parents who are involved in our community school and take advocating for their children's education head on. I hope to see you all around school, the community, and at Field PTA events.
Don't forget to stop by the Field PTA table at open house. You can sign up to be a Field PTA Member and check out Volunteer opportunities. Show your school spirit by purchasing Field gear also available at Open House.

If anyone ever has questions, please don't hesitate to contact Leah or myself. We are here to help! Let 's have a great school year!

PTA Membership
Membership forms will be available at the open house nights. The cost is $10 for a single membership, or $15 for a family membership (two adults in the same household). Please considering becoming a member, we can only take cash or checks for the membership fee.

Why join PTA? The number one reason to join the Field Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child and support their educational experience.  In doing so, you also help your school. But there are many more PTA advantages:
  • Build Relationships. There's no better way to know get to know other families at Field.
  • Get Involved.  You can put your skills and hobbies to work by helping with landscape improvements or social events or even raising money through the No-sale fundraiser, plant sale or Spring Fling
Spirit Wear Samples at the Open Houses
Field spirit wear sales begin August 23. Look for spirit wear samples at the open houses and more information on how to order.
