Connecting the S.T.A.R.R.R.'s

The Stop, Think and Act Respectfully, be Ready and be Responsible (S.T.A.R.R.R.) program is a student management system that focuses on respect and responsibility to support the learning and development of all students at Field Community School!

The program expects that all students will be respectful, ready, and responsible toward self, school, community, country, and others.

Conversations that occur when issuing a Stop and Think ticket demonstrate the importance of each student taking ownership of his/her own behavior, discussing how the behavior affects not only that student, but others around him/her while strengthening relationships between staff and students.

In addition, rigor is communicated and practiced within this system by maintaining high expectations for our school community's behavior that allows all students to reach their full academic and social potential.  When behavior is addressed that is not acceptable, we are communicating the rigor of our behavioral expectations.  Likewise, when students are developing personal skills of leadership and service supported by their demonstration of positive behaviors and attitudes, we are communicating the importance of behavioral rigor.

Relationships are supported and enhanced in the S.T.A.R.R.R. program by recognizing each student for their personal strengths as individuals and the part they play within the school community.  It enables students, parents, and staff to look for patterns of behavior and work in partnership to create positive behavior patterns and set goals to support that.
